Vacuum pick-up nozzle

INTRODUCTION

This document describes the functionality of the mechanism, the basic dimensions, and the mounting position. Useful data (unit conversion), materials and complete manufacturing drawings also included in appendix.

MAIN SECTION

The robot probe positions the vacuum pick-up nozzle above the part; lowers, clamps it using atmospheric pressure, arises and moves to the final assembly position. The nozzle must move only axially (a few hundredths of a millimeter), because of clamping surface inaccuracies. The nozzle also must be connected with a vacuum source. We easily can choose a different robotic unit because the of the nozzle adaptor design (adaptable).
