Lid and latching lever

The latching lever must be reliable and strong enough to resist hard use in the workshop. It must be very simple and trouble proof, with no adjustments. The latch system is analogous to lid system. We can use simple levers, cam actuated levers, screw levers, linkages, air driven mechanisms, rack and pinion systems and fluid powered to achieve the forces capable for clamp securely the work.
