Equalizer, double contact work piece clamping

The double pin equalizer with hardened steel balls is useful where large size equalizers (compensators) are not applicable. Its compactness and strength gives to our fixture the required stiffness for clamping the work piece.
The steel balls move freely inside a circular slot, which is connected with the two contact pin’s holes. The two contact pins clamping the work piece are compensated by the steel balls. With the smallest difference between the work piece clamping surfaces, the balls are equalize it between the contact pins. The selection of ball’s diameter and number affects the circular slot diameter. It is preferable to have more than eight (8) steel balls in order to have uniform loads and freely ball movement.
