Double line contact equalizer, rocking

The double line contact equalizer (rocking type), is a simple bevel, which balance the unevenness of the work piece surfaces between its ends. It is ideal for planar or circular surfaces, from small to moderate sizes.  Its compactness and strength gives to our fixture the required stiffness for clamping the work piece.
Is simple to manufacture, compact and easy to fit in a fixture. Its spherical surface makes it rocks about the fixture reference surface, balances this way the clamping force to the workpiece. When one contact line is depressed, the other raises and maintains contact with the part (see figure above).
