Toe clamp, automatic

The toe lever constantly clamps the workpiece. Two strong compression springs forces the laver against the work. When we wand to remove the work, we press down the handle which forces the toe lever to unclamp (compressing more the springs). If the clamp is without workpiece, the end of lever rests on the clamping surface. The clamping force depends from lever dimensions and compression spring selection. The springs selected in this document (round wire compression spring with standard duty rating) produce a force about 35 Kg (minimum preload-long spring life). This spring force for this specific toe clamp produces a final clamping force of 65 Kg (see drawing).
