This pusher clamp uses flat knurled thumb screw’s (DIN653) thread force to clamp a flat bar. The screw mounted with an angle half of its taper end forces the cylindrical surface constant to the fixture’s reference surface. Because of the half angle of the cone, the clamping surface of the screw (line contact) is parallel to the fixture reference surface. The clamping force exerting from screw has two directions, one vertical and one horizontal (see figure below). The work due to screw rotation tends to move along z axis (vertical to screen plane), so if we want we must provide some stops to block that movement.
