INTRODUCTION
This document describes functionality of the puller, design data, design units and complete manufacturing drawings.
MAIN SECTION
The puller is composed from the puller body, the ram, the collet, the sleeve and the distance piece. Rotating the ram by hand (handle) is screwed down spreading collet and causing its jaws to grip the bushing. Whilst the ram is screwed down by one hand the other holds the knurled puller body. The jaws have sharp teeth which are inserted into the internal surface of the bushing. When the ram reaches the bottom of the housing bore it presses the collet with the bushing to the opposite direction, forcing this way the bushing out. When the bushing is out of the housing by unscrewing the ram releases it. The length of ram’s thread relative to the puller body, the distance piece and the conical end of the ram are important for correct functioning.
