INTRODUCTION

This document describes functionality of the fixture, design data, design units and complete manufacturing drawings.

MAIN SECTION

The fixture is strong enough to hold large parts, is an auxiliary fixture and it clamps a portion of the workpiece. The fixture is welded on the side face of the main fixture (multiple clamping for irregular shapes). It is hand operated under the action of trapezoidal screw force. The part is clamped by the two jaws which are compensating according to workpiece size 100±5mm.The jaws are like toes with round shafts and the one moves inside the other. The first jaw (inner jaw) moves linear inside the other (outer jaw) which moves inside the fixture body. The Tr28x5 trapezoidal screw rotates freely inside the outer jaw and screw inside the corresponding trapezoidal thread of the inner jaw. When loosen the trapezoidal screw two springs force the jaws to spread. The spring with the large diameter opens first the outer jaw for about 15mm. A positive stop stops the outer jaw movement.
