INTRODUCTION
This document describes the functionality of the fixture, the design data, the design units and the complete manufacturing drawings.
MAIN SECTION
This is a double leveling jack. The function of the two jacks is to equalize the surface or dimension inaccuracies of the part being manufactured. The two jacks are supported by a rocker arm which levels their up-down movement. Both ends of the rocker arm are round shaped. The rocker arm is supported by a hardened pin on the narrow land which permits the leveling function. The difference between the support jack and the leveling jack is that the support jack is always pushing the part up and could be of single or multiple type, whilst the leveling jack must be at least double type and its two jacks are moving in opposite direction (when one pushes the part the other draws back). The functionality of the leveling jack and the equalizer in respect to the part, is that the part is placed on the leveling jack, whereas the equalizer is placed upon the part, clamping it down to the reference fixture surface, to the rest pad, etc.
