About us |
Buyblueprint was founded in 2005 for mechanical design engineers by mechanical design engineers as an attempt to fulfill the lack of deep information on general design engineering. Design specialists from industry fields like tooling, packaging, and general machinery compose the Buyblueprint team, offering applied design ideas in a simple and comprehensive way, with the aid of mechanical drawing.
Although the web opens a new way of spreading information between diversified specialists, numerous specific like the engineering design information, drawings (blueprints) and design tips-truly a wealth of material- much of this data still remains secure in hard copy archives and large company electronic storage systems. Many design engineers, drafters, toolmakers and even hobbyist filter every day every kind of data, from mechanical magazines, sourcebooks, papers, manuals, data sheets, technical reports and standards with the sole purpose to retrieve valuable data that permits them to gain time, reduce the design uncertainties and finally deliver a new and improved product. Almost all designers search the web for all this data. It is true, that purchasing a standard component is better than manufacturing it, but when it comes to new product development and improvement or design ideas it is even better to study a complete mechanical or an assembly drawing.
The bottom line is that a mechanical drawing (blueprint) is a global language, the design engineer's language that intentionally (or not) remains "hidden" in industry's files.
