Angle micro adjustment |

The combination of screw holes at the adjusting base and flats at the adjustable shaft gives a large number of adjusting positions. Each flat of the shaft can be aligned with each screw hole as indicated at theĀ above figure. The combination of five screw holes and six flats provides thirty adjustment positions (the product of holes and flats). Using four or eight screw holes the number of adjustment positions wouldn’t be twenty four or forty eight. The tip is to have an odd number of screw holes then the number of flats would be the number of holes plus one (even number). Usually the number of flats is two, four or six.
