Shaft locking-screw lock retainer |
by Lampros Georgiou - 11.1.2006

A taper cut is machined on the surface of the wear pad (see figure above). A round end shaped set screw, is placed perpendicular to the shaft of the wear pad and press it at its taper surface. Through this action the set screw pulls down the wear pad and locking it. An angular dog point (see figure below) set screw is used to lock the same shaft when it is impractical to use a perpendicular one. The screw lock retainer can be used at bushing plates (locking the bushings), at wear pads (especially at interchangeable wear pads), at precision matrixes, etc.
