Calculating sine bar slips - Method A

Sine bar slips are usually given in the form of tables with standard sine chucks. But often lack of such tables drives engineers to calculate the required sine bar slip. This calculation method depends on known factors:

With above dimensions angle  Angle symbol can be calculated in a simple triangle:

For sine bar calculation  Angle symbol is the required angle which must be produced with a given sine bar length:

Angle symbol is known from above calculation. Again, relating to a triangle, we now have Angle symbol related as a sine function using the sine bar:
